Bottle @ Dry January share. Pours brown with a small white head. Aromas of caramel, vanilla, dark fruits, milk chocolate, wheaty sweet notes. Taste has heavy caramel, dark fruits, vanilla, toffee, booze, oak. Pretty delicious!
Really not my favourite style, but this one is done so well. Clearly a heavy beast, some boozyness, but drinks easier than it should. Nice bourbon, bit of alcohol from there, some wood. Base beer is somewhat sweet, and nicely dense. Glad to try it!
RBESG 2019. 2018 bottle. Amber color. Sweet, syrupy aroma. Vanilla, bourbon, molasses. Malty sweet, alcoholic flavor with vanilla, grapes, oak and bourbon.
Bottle, 2018. Oh wow, more life! Dark amber color, some white head. Creamy caramelly malty notes mixing with bog barrel. Smooth, silky taste, coconut and caramel, vanilla dancing around with woody touches. Excellent by all means, no doubt there!
2018 bottle. Deep amber color with white head. Aroma is wheat, vanilla, caramel, fudge, toffee. Taste is vanilla, caramel, sticky wood, almost sirupy. Thick mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Nice, but very sweet.
RB backlog. Intense woody grains, raisins, dried figs, caramel. Intense sweet start, toasty, sweetness builds up, becomes tart, warm and sweet finish. Not my thing, but quite good.
Typical barley wine, extreme sweet, raisins, average body, a bit thin texture, vanilla, bourbon, a bit sharp alcoholic, granular, too alcoholic, decent
