Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy beige irregular head, little stable, falls down quickly, bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very roasted malts, some charcoal, dusty, cocoa powder, no coffee though? MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very roasted start, charcoal, very bitter, some heavy roasted coffee, bit sourish. Aftertaste: hoppy, roasted, bitter, cocoa powder.

03-11-16 // tap at the brewery. Pours a black beer with a small creamy beige head. Nice coffe notes in the nose. Really good dry stout. Definitely dry in taste. Roast malts, loads of coffee. Like a cold espresso. Good.

14/10/2016 @home - 33cl bottle from the brewery. Black with small tanned head. Nose is mocha, coffee, roast. Taste is the same, sometimes some alcohol comes through, very dry. Not bad but not great or very nice either. Sometimes I think BBP would better rethink their recipes a bit longer and release half of the beers per year they do now, maybe then they’d be a great brewery, now for me, they are just nice, even not just not very nice but it’s a pitty they release all this mediocre things lately. Well, fortunately most of the times on the goods side of mediocre. (FYI medicore for me is between 2.5 and 3.5, under 3 being on the bad side of mediocre. I just expected a lot more, maybe my expectations were just too high.

Pression @ BBP.
