473ml can. (10.0% ABV) Pours a slightly hazy copper with a medium, creamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet, spicy aroma of caramel malt, graham cracker, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, pumpkin and raisin. Sweet, spicy flavour of caramel malt, gingerbread, brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice and pumpkin in a dry, boozy finish. Medium to full body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Very enjoyable. An excellent pumpkin beer.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Pours a deep orange-brown amber colour with a beige foam head and aroma of cinnamon, spice, raisins, bread buns. Taste is spiced, pumpkin, bready, raisins, dried fruit, cinnamon, and some tangy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry warm boozy finish with lingering cinnamon. Nicely drinkable.

The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a smooth, rich red berry fruit, light spicy hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

739.39 ml. (25 fl. oz.) bottle. That package is so cool! References to movies like Creature from the Black Lagoon, Poltergeist & Exorcist (so painfully overrated + William Friedkin has made far more interesting movies) etc. Far more than the references, the art is really nice, great,... The text is fun, poking fun at the pumpkin beer genre. The cardboard was a bit busted up, not sure whether the trip was especially hard here or these aren’t too solid. I have had a different Flying Monkeys beer in the same packaging & that one was just great. No date. Medium GUSHER! Barely lost any beer luckily & the whole doesn’t seem infected. Dark amber, ruby hue, head quickly collapses, patchy tanned / off-white. Nose is spices all-right, the allspice is heavy for the style, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon is a bit more in the back, heavily caramelized malts, some canned & backed pumpkin, spice rules supreme. Taste is heavy on caramelized apple, massive allspice & cloves, nutmeg, caramelized pumpkin, sweet caramelized malts, low maple, so heavy on the spices but still really good, vaguely metallic. Body is leaves & caramelized malts, faint metallic, low maple syrup, bit empty, heavy lives. Heavy, heavy on the spices with interesting caramelized. Pushing it even for me but I quite dig it still.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass; 2015 vintage bottling. Pours slightly hazy deep ruby red color with a 1-2 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big pumpkin, cinnamon, clove, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, graham cracker, toast, bread crust, brown sugar, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great complexity and balance of dark/bready malt and pumpkin/spice notes; with great strength. Taste of big pumpkin, cinnamon, clove, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, graham cracker, toast, bread crust, brown sugar, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, clove, allspice, nutmeg, ginger, graham cracker, bread crust, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and pumpkin/spice flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth and fairly creamy/bready/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Fair amount of dryness from spice bitterness after the finish. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an awesome imperial pumpkin ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt and pumpkin/spice flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. This was very similar to Pumking in flavors and mouthfeel, with a bit more darker malt complexity and warming alcohol due to higher ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.
