De Vlier wordt gebrouwen voor de warme maanden. Het is een fris bier dat je typisch drinkt vanaf de eerste warme zonnestralen in het voorjaar tot en met de nazomer. Maar van ons mag je het ook alle seizoenen drinken zolang er nog voorraad is. Met zijn alcoholpercentage van 5% is het een heerlijke dorstlesser. Onze Vlier is vernoemd naar de vlierbloesem die het bier een heerlijke geur geeft. Het is licht troebel door het gebruik van tarwemout zoals dat bij ongefilterde Witbier en sommige Weizen voorkomt.

De Vlier ontleent zijn smaak aan de gistculturen die speciaal voor De Vlier geselecteerd zijn. Door het toepassen van tarwe en speltmout, lichte gerstemout, aromahop, vlierbloesem en citrusschillen heeft de Vlier een zonnige plek veroverd in ons Voortsche assortiment.

Voortsche Vlier is verkrijgbaar in buikflesjes van 33 cl met statiegeld en op de tap bij vele horeca- en recreatiebedrijven in en om Voorthuizen.

Voortsche Vlier wordt het lekkerst gedronken uit de koelkast (op ongeveer 7 °C) in het 'Voortsche' bierglas.

Tip! Net zoals bij ieder bier met tarwe: half inschenken, flesje paar keer ronddraaien en dan de rest inschenken

Bottle. Blonde. Slightly herbal floral citric aroma and flavor. Thinnish. Dry. Red berries. Perhaps a bit overcarbonated. Decent.

Bottle 330ml. shared @ 8th. BBF 2016 [ 8th Borefts Beer Festival 2016 ] @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Voortsche Vlier ].Clear medium yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, biscuit malt, light yeasty, fruity yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, biscuit malt, sweet malt, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160924] 5-3-6-3-11

Sampled at the tderoeck tasting for adamchandler. Pants are optional ! Pours unclear blonde, small white head. Smell is bit cheezy, Taste is bit bitter, mild creamyness, some wheat. Bit fruity. meh

Thank you kraddel! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ "Adam Chandler Visiting (for real this time)" Tasting. BBF JF/2018. Likely 2016 Vintage. BBF 01/2018. Hazy citrus golden, little white head. Nose is dull lemon peel, aromatic oils, hop oil, flowers. Taste is even worse than the smell, dough, bland with some weird aromatic oil citrus in a poor way, dough, flowers. Body is dull soap, dough, poor, meh.

Clear pale yellow beer, small creamy irregular white head, little stable, bit adhesive. aroma: urinals, weird, floral, fruity, sourish, bit infected, funky. Aroma: very lively carbon, medium body. Taste: floral, pretty weird, little bitter, sourish touch. Aftertaste: bit soapy, yeast, floral finish.

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2016. Leicht trübes goldgelbes Bier mit geringen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Gewürzen, bitter würzig hopfig. Geschmack würzig malzig, Gewürze, hohe karbonisation.

Bottle at borefts 2016 day 2... Golden yellow.. Thin white lacing soft floral lemon yeasty fruit nose.. Soft sweet lemon fruit. Light custards fruit
