Can@Nolia Beer 2019, Umeå. Pitch black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, mild roasted malts, some bourbon, vanilla, alcohol and some whiskey tones. Flavour is vanilla, some alcohol, chocolate, roasted malts and mild toffeeish tones to it. Smooth. Good and solid sipper.

Yesterday. Plenty of nice barrel character. Whiskey and rum raisins. Roasty with a hint of acidity. Very nice but wouldn’t have minded it slightly sweeter.

Nice BA impy. Mellow and surprisingly full bodied. Good stuff!

Canned, from Systembolaget. Black with minimal head. Pungent bourbon aroma. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Licorica and tar, peat and vanilla. Peppery intensely warming finish. Packed with flavour, but never assaulting. Perfect beer for bitterly cold days on the Åre slopes.
