Soft vanilla notes hit the nose first and unleash a wave of fruity and spicy aromas that blow the taster away. A sublime hint of orange gives the beer a pleasant citrus accent as the perfect match for the sweet caramel. There is also room for a floral undertone with camomile, crowned by a subtle touch of pomegranate and a dash of almond liqueur. A brilliant combination of delicious apricot and candied fruit with creamy mocha epitomises the full-bodied complexity of the beer. The aftertaste also packs a delicious punch, with an astounding spicy kick and a refreshing taste of green apple.

Aromas are dark malt, roast, raisins, Belgian yeast, and a bit of wine. Flavors are like nose, good balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation which is a little on the soft side. Oak is in the background. Good quaff.

375 ml. bottle. Mahogany dark amber, clear, big lacing beige head. Nose is massive oak vanilla candy coating overripe apple, maple, syrup de Liège, oak is explosive coating with the toffee, maple, apple,… Sharper in body and taste than expected, toffee, caramel, maple, syrup de Liège upfront, oak vanilla, finishing in heavy slightly bitter oak, barrel in the back, ending short sharp barrel, somewhat bitter oak, wine leaves, interesting that bitterness & bit less vanilla than expected, very tasty & quite complex, really great stuff.
