Belgian style IPA from Millevertus, still very active as a creative Walloon microbrewer. Egg-white, thick and foamy, very mousy, stable head on a hazy peach blonde beer with pale orangey tinge. Aroma of mandarin peel, drying leek, lemongrass, white bread dough, kiwi, tomato concentrate somewhere, fried pumpkin, cold camomile tea, banana peel, raw shallot, stewed turnip, tulips, pear, old 'herbes de Provençe', soap, cilantro, raw potato. Sweetish, fruity onset, more sweet from esters than from hop aromas, hinting at apricot, banana and pear, with lively carbonation adding a sourish effect; smooth, softly bready maltiness, restrainedly sweetish but with a very thin caramelly edge. Herbal and floral hop bitter finish but with a clear, refreshing citrusy effect to it (orange peel) representing the IPA intentions; quite long, spicy, drying, very quenching finish, with that citrus peel effect lingering long enough, even if mingled with some yeasty esters and phenols, which nevertheless remain well in place and do not become bothersome at all. Quite elegantly hoppy Belgian blonde, completely fitting the Belgian IPA profile indeed; a well-made, streamlined Belgian blonde embellished with a dash of citrusy New World hops. I have nothing against that.

Dwindling, fluffy just-yellowish head over faintly veiled orangey golden beer with good carbonation. Fragrant citrus upon opening, slightly sparadrap , fresh green herbs, exotic fruit. Bitter, as bitter fruit, citruspeel, and finish sports again mint/camphor/sparadrap, however lightly. Citrus Maxima Officinalis? Warming up, the pharmaceutical vector veirs towards Brett. Medium bodied, hopoilslick, very well carbonated. Yet another good one from Millevertus.

29 April 2018, at Zythos Bierfestival. Deputy Taster: Anke. Thanks to the assistants at the stand for the sample!
Clear pale golden with a big, lasting, foamy, white head; some lacing. Fresh aroma of mango, pineapple, passionfruit, grapefruit, bready malt. It tastes light fruity sweet and light to medium hoppy bitter, bit bready. Dry, hoppy & bitter finish but balanced by a lingering fruitiness. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Spot-on, good stuff!
