Black, frothy light brown head. Smell is coffee roasty, lightly sweet. Body is pretty thin for Jackie's. Great taste, oldschool roastyness, nice bitter, lots of coffee flavours. Not really sure if I should notice the walnut, but I don't. Yum but thin.

12/IX/21 - on tap @ BBP Wanderlust Festival (Brussels), BB: n/a (2021-1083) Thanks to all for sharing today’s beers!

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, good roast, alcohol, malty, chocolate notes, sweet impression, caramel, good stuff! MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bitter start, very roasted, lots of chocolate, dry, alcohol, more roasted notes, bitter, bit oxidized. Aftertaste: very dry, bitter, lots of alcohol, earthy, good roast, some oxidation, nice!

Walnuts, leather, prunes, cacao, hazelnuts, oats, raw cacao, a little vanilla. Very accomplished stout. This is a great example of a very clean American take on a classic Stout without using bucketloads of adjuncts. Exactly the kind of beer which I want to drink in the winter, ideally with a logged fire. Excellent drinkability and clean profile. Incredible balance. Silky smooth. Exceptionally done. Bottle from Beerdome in the Netherlands. Drunk on 12/11/2020.

Dark brown color. White head. Thin dry nose that the barrel dominates but with some Rolo character. Light body, very barrel forwRd with simple bitterness and good roastiness. Boozy finish. Hmm. Ok

Bottle from Craft Brewed shared. Pours a deep brown with a small bit of beige head that dissipates. Huge cacao nib, milk chocolate and toasted walnut on the nose. Smooth, thick and decadent on the palate. Great toasted nutty flavors coupled with a complete chocolate bomb of flavor. Lingering creamy, walnut without the bitterness. Milk chocolate and walnut cookie on the finish. Decadent! --- Beer merged from original tick of Jackie O's Oil Of Aphrodite on 30 Mar 2019 at 00:19 - Score: 8. Original review text: Huge cacao nib forward nose w/ walnut, umami and chess pie aromas. Thick on the palate with lots of chocolate/cacao & and a rich nutty note
