13/XI/16 - 33cl bottle from a trade @ home - BB: 3rd quarter/IV/18 (2016-1304) Thanks to Bierridder_S for the trade!
Clear red amber beer, creamy solid beige yellowish head, little stable, falls down quickly to a small layer of foam, bit adhesive. Aroma: some chlorine, sweet, mango notes, little soapy, caramel, malty, jam, bit oxidized. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very resinous bitter start, quite some grapefruit, more bitterness, pretty soapy, some caramel. Aftertaste: very bitter, harsh, medicinal, grapefruit seeds, way too bitter. Where's my tropical fruits? :(
12.5 cl. draft @ brewery. Darkest of the both for beer & head. Deep amber orange, lightly tanned head. Nose is weird like mild chamomile tea, sugar, mild bergamot, sweet tea & caramel but in an odd stale fashion. Taste is overripe fruit, fizzy but not very extremely so & definitely far less so than others, big sweet honey, light bitter herbal, overall muted wort & tea, carbonation starts feeling a bit too high after a while, brown sugar. Bit of a strange sweet wort, honey, tea, fizzy affair. Not really what I would call a DIPA.
01/07/2016 - tasting glass from tap @BBP.Hazy orange colour with small white head. Nose is fruity, bit malty. Taste is malty, a bit toasted, dry bitterness, light fruits and spices.
Small whitish head over amberish orange beer. Rainwater, ever so slightly fruity... but mild, demure. Bit toasted (malts), I want to taste some hops, but to no avail, but for a faint metallic finish. Light, bit slick. Hopless. Hopeless?
Draft @ BBP.
