18/I/19 - 500ml bottle from a trade, shared @ home, BB: III/2016, L017 - (2019-102) Thanks to Marlos for the trade!
Clear red brown beer, big creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very nice stuff, dried fruits, vanilla, caramel, slightly sourish, some cardboard. MF: lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bit sweet, caramel, oxidized, some cardboard, some dried fruits. Aftertaste: slightly sourish, cardboard, caramel, dried fruits, other fruits, bit malty, soft bitterness, madeira, some soy sauce.
This one has aged very nicely! Body is a bit thin, and there's some obvious oxidation that has happened, but it's still a very complex and pleasant beer!
Bottle - Caramel, butterscotch and light Woody notes. Cloudy caramel with a small white head. Sweet butterscotch and caramel with a light spicy molasses. Wood is odd, gives it a very sweet character.
300 ml. sampled @ Maldegem tasting. Obtained in a trade with Marlos. 2014 Vintage. Dark reddish brown, little head. Nose is hugely sweet, big vanilla, oak, cookies, sweet malts, awesome,… Taste is cinnamon, big cookies, huge vanilla, sweet malts, brown sugar, candy, lightly warming in the back,… Creamy & thick malty body,.. Awesome, best Brazilian beer so far & ridiculously better than the regular version which we tried side-by-side. Barrel treatment is amazing.
