Intensiv säuerlicher Beginn. Vollmundig, spritzig, die Säure ist leicht drückend. Beeren, Zitrus, adstringend. Langer saurer Abgang, frisch, gut. 10/11/11/11/12/11
0.375 l bottle via Mikkeller Beer Mail March 2020, best before January 2030. Almost clear, deep ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, pinkish white head. Slightly sweetish, sourish, quite fruity and rather funky aroma of cherry, elderberry, horse blanket and a touch of balsamic vinegar. Quite sour, fruity, quite funky taste of elderberry, blackcurrant, balsamic vinegar, oak and horse blanket, followed by a medium long, very tart, quite funky and slightly woody-dry finish. Medium body, very astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Rather intense, a little too sour to be great, other than that with a lovely aroma. Not as refined as other beers from the Spontan series but still a good beer.
