11/04/2019 @home - 33cl bottle from a trade with tderouck. Clear lgiht yellow, sticky white head. Nose first was soy sauce, later malts, fruits, floral. Taste is malts, sweet, spices, dry herbal touch. OK.
Bottle from Carrefour in Ghent. Pours cloudy yellow with a big, slowly thinning, frothy, unstable, off-white head; some lacing & sediment. Aroma of sour milk, matured cheese, gooseberries, hay, green banana, unripe apricot, apple peel, yeast, sourdough. Taste is light to medium funky sour, some unripe apricot & wheat but aspects of sourdough & expired yoghurt gain strength, bit lactic too; fruity notes of apple & banana; somewhat grassy & spicy bitter. Dry, grassy hoppy finish, bit spicy & grainy, lingering wheaty tartness, lactic, apple, but the funky character remains. Medium body, slick/watery texture, lively carbonation (numbing!). Something went wrong here (infection?), or, if intended, it's not my style at all!
F: big, white, long lasting. C: milky, gold. A: malty, fruity, orange, bit apples peels, gooseberry, floral, yeasty. T: almost slow gusher, malty, light sour fruity, yeasty, citrus, bit cellar, quite good balanced tasty but high disturbing carbonation, medium body, almost enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Intermarche supermarket in Étalle, Belgium.
330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours a hazy gold, white head. Aroma is floral, sweet, continuing to taste with prominent Belgian yeast, some icing, vanilla, floral meadow, straw. Fairly high carbonation is a little off-putting, but generally an alright sweet Belgian blonde.
Starke Karbonisierung, langsamer Gusher. Bitterer, trocken hefiger Beginn mit leichten Kräuternoten. Spritzig, minimale Säure, herb-hefig, trockener und kurzer Nachhall. Okay. 9/8/7/8/9/8
12-10-17 // draft at the brewery in Orval area. Pours a lovely hazy golden yellow beer, no reallyy head. Nose yeasty with some hops. Taste is belgian yeasty, hay, mild fruity hops, nice bitterness at the end. Quite high carbo.
Hazy straw yellow colour, tall foamy white head, half-way lasting, light lacing. Aroma malts, yeast, orange, lemon, glue, lactic. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, yeasty, citrus, acidic and herbal notes. Fruity light acidic aftertaste, citrusy, herbal notes. Medium body, watery texture, average carbonation, fresh, nice thirst quencher.
Not going to finish this.
Too much carbonation!
