Bottle from Carrefour in Ghent. Pours cloudy yellow with a big, slowly thinning, frothy, unstable, off-white head; some lacing & sediment. Aroma of sour milk, matured cheese, gooseberries, hay, green banana, unripe apricot, apple peel, yeast, sourdough. Taste is light to medium funky sour, some unripe apricot & wheat but aspects of sourdough & expired yoghurt gain strength, bit lactic too; fruity notes of apple & banana; somewhat grassy & spicy bitter. Dry, grassy hoppy finish, bit spicy & grainy, lingering wheaty tartness, lactic, apple, but the funky character remains. Medium body, slick/watery texture, lively carbonation (numbing!). Something went wrong here (infection?), or, if intended, it's not my style at all!

330ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours a hazy gold, white head. Aroma is floral, sweet, continuing to taste with prominent Belgian yeast, some icing, vanilla, floral meadow, straw. Fairly high carbonation is a little off-putting, but generally an alright sweet Belgian blonde.
