On tap @ Borefts 2013. This is a deep dark plum brown/red one with a tiny light sidesticking the beige film on top. The nose reveals lots of stingy bee-alcohol, some paint thinner, lots of figs and other interesting sweet dried fruits. Can't not mention raisins here, cause they are really really present! Smells quite good. Oh, it's most definitely sweet this, but it somehow manages not to be cloying! The sweet yellow raisins just dances on the tip of the tongue and combined with dates, figs and even a little bit of dark prunes this is really interesting. It's not until the finish and aftertaste I realize that this is a honey quad, and of course, The honey is just layered in between all that fruitiness. This is a really fine sample of the genre in IMO and one of the best I've had from Amager in quite some time. Yum! 27.09.2013

Sampled @ Borefts 2013. Hazy red-brown color, small off - white to beige head. Smell malts, wood, honey, a touch of liquor, raisins. Taste has too much honey for me but a decent beer overall.

Sampled draft @ Borefts 2013. Blackish Bordeaux brown, no head. Nose is very thick brown honey, syrupy, this smells like a Braggot, overall if I would very surprised if this is not a braggot, smell carries more very sweet caramel, vanilla, oak vanilla, sticky, some dark fruits syrup. Taste is creamy, very sweet honey, complete honey with caramel, sweet oak, vanilla, sweet spices, brown sugar, some very sticky malts, hint bitter herbs & sweet figs. Creamy, not much carb. Nice.

@Borefts. Better than the average honey ale, but still too sweat. The notes of barrel aged port are an improvement though.
