Corked bottle. Blonde. Floral notes and citrus in the soft perfumed aroma. Sweetish, perfumed flavor with citrus and floral notes. Sticky, lacks character.

F: very thin, white, poor retention. C: hazy, non-transparent, yellowish to golden. A: not very pleasant, malty, some fruitiness, like syrupy sweetness, hint of orange and alcohol, yeast. T: taste is better a little, malt, citrus, coriander, spicy, toast, hint of grassy bitterness, medium body, good carbonated, some dusty tones, some alcohol, what to say for 5e I can buy first class Gouden Carolus Cuvee Van De Keizer Blauw/Blue at beer festival in Belgium so...

The third Tournée Générale beer, for the third series of the beer tv show, in 2013, when innovation and tradition were confronted - a keen observation in my opinion, as the dynamics between both ’extremes’ are exactly what has shaped Belgian beer culture throughout the 20th and 21st century. This beer bears a thinnish, sticky, off-white head and a warm ’old gold’ colour, clear but hazy with deposit. Grainy aroma, green apple, banana, sweetish pale malts, young ’jenever’, sweat, iron, yoghurt. Soft and rounded palate, apple with a slight hint of citrus, minerally and even metallic hints, pale malts, some grassy hops in the finish, shortish, with a somewhat astringent, wodka-like alcohol effect. Quality-wise a return to the mediocrity of the first one, in my view. If we may expect a new series in 2015, I hope they’ll finally come up with something that does not necessarily strives to please just anyone.

75cl Bottle from Mitra HHW. Shared, thank God. Golden colour, white head. Aroma of sugar, lemon drops, stale hops, light fruity grain. Smells cheap. Flavour is likewise, with some dish wash added in the mix. Poor Tripel.

75 cl. bottle shared with Rick @ home, bought somewhere in Belgium. Golden yellow with e big white head. Sweet aroma with some malts and hops. Quite boring actually, especially considering the price and the "premium" label. Forgettable
