24-12-18 // Brewed 20.12.12 - gusher. Extremely high carbo. Unclear dark brown with a reddish touch. Beige head. Lovely nose of red wine and dark malts. Aged really well. Soft sparkling, dark rosted malts with a mild acidity. Red wine barrel, wood notes. Lovely complex beer.
250ml bottle. Bit of age on it, imported to NZ in July 2013 so a bit older than that. Pours black. Dried figs, brown sugar, dried cherry, biscuit, toast, raspberry, blackberry, blackcurrant, sour cherry, prunes, marzipan, chocolate, molasses, oak, sweet red fruit finish. Bit of booze to it. Certainly a little oxidation but I think it integrates well. Medium body with quite high carbonation. Absolutely delicious.

Taste is malt, caramel, sweetish, berry fruits, woody, red wine, with tangy, spicy bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, woody dry slightly tannic finish. Nicely complex, very drinkable.
25cl bottle, shared with Bladdock as the penultimate beer of our 2015 Rainbow Project tasting sesh. From trade with Gunnar - many thanks! Pours deep brown with thin tan head. Aroma is complex with some oaky red wine. Taste is woody, malty and super complex with some lovely red wine warmth. A hint of funk. Wish I kept the bottle to myself now!
