--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Dark brown, small head. Caramelly coffee aroma. Sweet with light to medium body and rounded mouthfeel, Toffee, coffee, milk chocolate and mild coconut. Mid bitter finish.
Can (from drinkonline.eu). Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted, toasted and some mild herbal tones with some chocolate. Flavour is roasted, mild chocolate, some coconut and some mild roasted tones.
Nitro I guess at Bad Flash Krymská. Brownish body, off-white nitro head. Soft, sweetish coconut aroma. Soft, lean, coconut-malty-vaguely cocoa-like taste. Pretty damn tasty, if simple.
Can. Darkest brown, tan fine creamy head. Fruity roast, roast coconut nose. Medium full creamy, broad bright chocolate, coconut milk creaminess, lovely chocolate mousse finish. Intense but easy drinkable.
33cl can from Yeme Nivy Centrum in Bratislava. Head is medium, tanned, good retention. Colour is black, opaque. Aroma is light roasted malts, nutty, coffee touch, caramel, toffee, coconut, bit chocolate. Taste is medium malty base, bit coffee, nutty, caramel, coconut, roasted tones, vanilla touch, soft carbonation, very good, fully enjoyed.
Bbe 12-11-2021. Niet hele sterke cocos smaak, maar zeker niet slecht.
33cl Blik van De Laat. Bijna zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Geur is wat gedempt door de nitro, kokosnoot, gebrande mout, mineralen, gebrande noten, smaak volgt, iets aards in de finish, degelijk bitter, cacao, licht gebakken kokosrasp, degelijk bitter. Lichte body, redelijk romig mondgevoel. Drinkt veel te makkelijk. Lekker.
Coconut-flavoured porter by Austria’s best known international style craft brewery, thanks Steve for sharing. Open, yellow-beige, thinnish head on a dark caramel brown beer, almost blackish but not quite, showing a ruddy-bronze hue. Aroma of caramel, toasted coconut rather than the sweet perfumey coconut milk I was expecting, ground hazelnuts, dried sage, clove, brown honey without the sweetness, acorn shells, minerals, brown bread crust. Sweetish, clean onset, dried fig and medlar, soft carb, supple body, but a tad on the thin side perhaps; slick caramelly maltiness with toasty bitter edge, some herbal aspects of clove and mace yet little of the promised coconut pushes through apart from the generally nutty character of this beer. Softly bitter, toasty, herbal finish. Enjoyable enough, but I expect more coconut from something labelled a ‘coconut porter’.
