Balsem is een zacht, bijna lieflijk bier met milde zuren. Verrassend subtiel voor de 21 maanden houtrijping die het heeft ondergaan. De biodynamische witte perziken in Balsem zijn afkomstig van De Sterregaard en geven een warme toets van steenfruit. Op de achtergrond valt nog een zweem rozemarijn te ontdekken. Dit bier is exclusief samengesteld voor onze Gelders Gerstenat crowdfunders (jaar 2019).

Bottle. Hazy light golden. Quite herbal, over light sour, soft berries and peach. This is Nevel how I like it, complex and subtle.

Batch #1. Hazy golden with white head. Sour grains, sweet and sour peach, rosemary, tangerine. Very nice balance. Lovely minerallike and chalky feel with lively carbonation.

Bottle shared thanks to kermis. Bit hazy golden with white head. Rosemary, nice malts, soft peach, quite herbal, soft oak, light funky, lemon. Medium sweet and bitter, lighter sour. Medium bodied. Lovely.

Fairly hazy orange with a ring white head. Aroma of tart but soft peach, a huge and lovely oak character, soft funk and citrus notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Lovely!
