Bottle. Deep copper colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is alcohol, some toffee, mild dried fruits, bourbon, wood and some vanilla to it. Flavour is a bunch of vanilla, some bourbon, fudge, dried fruits and alcohol. Rather smooth.
Batch 464. Dark reddish brown, near black. Smell is spicy rye, some sweet bourbon. Soft mouthfeel, not too thick, pretty boozy. Taste is very well balanced. Plenty of bourbon, tons of rye, some oak, light caramel. Not a rye fan, but this is lovely!
Light brown colour with big fluffy head and low carbonation. Aroma and flavour are packed with vanilla and bourbon sweetness. The rye element adds an earthiness and depth. Very rich. Ultimately too sweet but still very pleasant.
33cl bottle. A dark brown beer with a off white head. Aroma of sweet and strong caramelized malt, vanilla, coffee. Taste of sweet strong dark caramelized malt, Bourbon, vanilla.
Brown with a bubbly tan head. Aroma of overripe dark fruits, vanilla, oak, dried fruits, bourbon, caramel and perfume notes. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
Bottled 330ml (Beergium)
Dark brown colour, small off-white head. Sweetish toffee-vanilla nose. Light-bodied for this style. Lots of vanilla and fudge in the flavour, some dark fruits. Quite shallow, barrel has eaten the most the body.
Bottle. Dark amber pour. Aroma is delicious, with sweet rye, cherry vanilla, caramel fudge, fruity bourbon, caramelised malt, some coconut and cherry candy. Taste has rich fruity bourbon, coconut, caramel fudge, cherry vanilla, caramelised malt, soft spicey rye, bourbon vanilla, soft booze, raisin, figs and a long rich fruity bourbony finish. Absolutely delicious, reminds me of the american greats.
Taster at home courtesy of Sander, big thanks. dark brown color, tiny tan head. smells bourbon, vanilla, marzipan, bit peppery, dried fruits, raisins, figs. nice to very nice smell. full body, light carbonation. tastes of bourbon, light sweetness, vanilla, marzipan, peppery, dried fruits, raisins, figs. finishes light to medium sweet with notes of bourbon, marzipan and vanilla. very nice one, rather heavy, smooth bourbon notes. For the ABV you would expect something a bit more complex though. Bit too dominant on the barrel.
