Canned. Black colour, brown head. Aroma is nutty, liquorice, some cinnamon and some toffee tones. Flavour is spicy, some cinnamon, nutty and toasted with some vanillaish wood and iquorice. Tonka beans a bunch, but doesn't mention those would have been used.
Very good greige head over jet-black beer. Nuts, meatroast, grainy, roasted nuts, ketjap, deepfrying oil, pastrycrust. Sweet, again quite malty, mild (meat)roast, hint at mineral, faint oakleaf. Obviously very well-bodied, viscous, alcoholheat. Velvety texture. Good, if rather sweet for an unadulterated (tonka-ed, vanilla-ed, marshmallow-ed,...) stout.
Keg, half-pint in the Tap & Can Shrewsbury on 11th August 2021. Black with a tanned head. Deep, rich malty front to the nose and taste, chocolate, leather and coconut esters/flavours; boozy and interesting.
Can. Black. Coffee, chocolate, caramel and cinnamon in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with chocolate, cinnamon and a hint of licorice in the aftertaste. Full bodied. Simple but decent.
