9 April 2023. At In de Verzekering Tegen de Grote Dorst. Shared with the lovely Anke!
A: clear red, no head.
A: cherry juice & skin, redcurrant, yoghurt.
T: sour cherry, bitter redcurrant skin, lactic acid.
F: tart cherry, bitter & dry cherry stone, some bread, wheat.
P: medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation.
Easy-going, bitterish cherry Lambic. Cherries are not even key here, but not bad.
Draft at BXL. Hazy bright red. A lot of sour cherries, wheat, light funk, a bit lemon sharpness. Not much almond, but a soft herbal touch. Soft carbonation.
Pours unclear, darker red. Scent is very mild. Taste is strong, juicy fruits, syrupy almost. Yet no sweetness, obviously. Though the fruits are clear, they're honestly not that loud, providing more of a background element than expected. Enjoyable, full bodied lambic, that ends fairly malty. Nice!
1/V/22 - on draft @ Toer de Geuze, Lambiek Fabriek, BB: n/a (2022-457)
Clear bright light carmine red beer, small irregular big bubbled head, white to almost pink, little stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: a little fruity, marzipan, cherries, cherry pits, some almonds, a bit earthy. MF: no carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bitter start, a little fruity, earthy, tannins, pretty dry, weird, slightly sweet. Aftertaste: not as fruity as I had hoped, and tastes more like cherries than real krieken.
At Van Moll corona fest. Bright red color, no head. Aroma is sourness and red fruit. Flavor is similar. Good, well balanced. Towards my sourness limit, but just within, so I like it. Lovely.
Funky kirsimahl! Parem kui pudelis.
