Tap @ Bierfestival Albergen. Reddish amber color. Red amd matured tropcial fruit in the aroma. and flavor. Wheaty sweetish, soft perfumed notes. Candied fruit in the aftertaste. Quite good!
33cl bottle. Pours hazy dark amber colour with a small good lasting beige head. Aroma of dark riped fruits, caramel, vanilla, wood, some yeast. Taste of overriped red fruits, nuts, caramel, banana, some yeast and alcohol.
Bottle at home. Clear amber with barely any head. Overripe banana, lots of caramel, brown bread, cloves, bitter vegetables, very grassy, rotten grains. Medium sweet with medium bitterness that is only noticable in the long lasting finish and goes on to become quite metallic. Medium bodied with slick feel and barely any carbonation. Big dissapointment, I liked other Oldskool beers, but this is messy.
0.33 l bottle from De Bierkoning (#53), bottled in May 2015 (five months old). Hazy, luscious reddish orange with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, tan head. Faint, sweetish-fruity aroma of mango, pear, banana and honey with shy hints of booze. Sweetish-fruity taste of mango, banana, honey and pear, followed by a short, slightly bitter and also light alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, very creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Faint hop aroma, alcohol clearly noticeable, undercarbonated. Overall a bit unround and thus somewhat disappointing.
