Clear amber pour with a very thin off-white head. Oak, sherry, metallic oxidation, apple cider vinegar, quite a bit of mineral funk, mouldy wood. Low carbonation, smooth texture. Really nice.

Finally I got a bottle of Zenne Y Frontera. Deep golden to amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is hint of dry sherry, wood, leather, funk and lemon zest. Taste is astringent with loads of oak barrels and dry sherry. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. Long astringent aftertaste.
Next one please!

26-09-20 // Happy Zwanze Day 2020 at Mon Petit Café, Stuttgart. Bottle, shared. Thanks! More wood in the nose again compared to 93. lesser carbonation than 92,93. but tastewise the best balanced.
Pours unclear blonde. Smell is full, plastic, not where it should be. It gets better as the beer opens up, though. Taste is sharp, acidic, mild acetic. Not much sherry.
Yesterday
One of the (to date) latest new Zenne y Frontera elaborations, this one consisting of lambics that were aged in Oloroso barrels plus one Amontillado barrel - a kind of showcase version of the whole Zenne y Frontera concept, so to speak. Large-bubbled, snow white, loosely structured, open head on a misty pale orangey-peach blonde beer. Aroma of lightly toasted peanuts, dry sherry, wild apples, dry straw, whiff of old dry tobacco, grass silage, dry lemon zest, unripe melon, grape skin, dried lavender accent. Crisp, dry onset, lemony and astringent (unripe stonefruit) with a juicy, grape-like aspect as well even if this product contains no fruit; bread-crusty and hayish core with a strong tannic finish, a hint of sherry nuttiness and herbalness and quite outspoken minerality. Complex for sure, but a tad less expressive and sherry-coloured than the unforgettable blend 95.
Sherry aroma And flavor. Limited sourness. Gummybears, lemon. Oak. Lots of finesse.
5/IX/20 - 75cl bottle @ 3 Fonteinen Lambik-o-Droom (Lot, BE), BB: 26/X/39, bottled: 25/VII/19 (2020-866) Thanks to ElManana+1 for driving and sharing today’s beers, thanks to the Ghent Beer Posse for sharing the 3F bottles!
Cloudy orange beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very funky, dusty, somewhat spicy, nice stuff going on, wood tannins, very good! MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice bitterness, fruity, orange peel, sweet touch, very sour though, vinegar notes, decent. Aftertaste: bit moldy, old, very aged, oxidized, orange peel, fruity, lots of citrus, lemon juice, nice one but a little too sour, too much vinegar...
