Sold as Grunn Hoagelwit. Orange and honey aroma. Somewhat herbal and yeasty flavor with a fruityinterval, immediately followed b a yeasty bitter afteratste. Somewhat disappointing after the initially fine aroma.
33cl bottle from van erp Groningen. Odd aroma. Cloudy amber pour. Passable but needs more work.
Bottle at chrisOs... Light hazy yellow... Big bubbly white head... Soft zezty banana nose... Light fizz... Soft sweet fruits wheat... Light foam banana overtones

Bottle said Grunn Hoagelwit. Didn’t really like the smell, but appearance and taste were decent. Low to medium carbo and low body make it an easy to drink beer.
Colour was okay for a witbier or hefeweizen, but it’s not my favorite beercolour. Didn’t like the smell, but the taste was pretty nice.
Bottle 300ml. [ As Grunn Hoagelwit ]. Clear medium yellow to orange color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate yeasty, leather, berry, fruity, candy, mazipan mase, orange. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20091113]
Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is dishwater (or wet dishtowel more like), herbs and wheat. Flavour is quite much the same along with some yeast and acidic fruits.
Near gushing to huge off-white fine head, not stable, over hazy greenish-golden beer. Some coriander-like spicing, dull grain & wheat, overtly citrus, lemon(zeste). No clove, no banana, no orange - German?? Dull, sof-sweet taste; some human sweat, something slightly burning. Faint mandarine juice, but very, very dull. Wheat slickness, slightly burning MF at the end. Ultra-dull white. One from a great batch given by Dean.
Grunn Hoagelwit. Hazy golden color, short white head. Aroma is yeasty, bit wheat, some banana. Bit watery taste, yeasty, bitter. Not nice refreshing as other whites, but more bitter. Not very good.
