33cl bottle. A clear reddish brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of raisins, dark fruits, dark reddish malt. Taste of reddish malt, dark fruits, raisins, some old cherries.
On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Light brown/rich red held up to the light with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet chocolate malty. Taste is medium sweet malty chocolately dubbel. Very soft in the mouth and just a touch of bitterness.
Cane sugar aroma. Sweet syrupy flavor with some coffee and caramel. Just a hint of sourness. Plums. Not worth a re-buy.
Bottle at home, as Adelardus Belgian Dubbel Dark Abbey Ale / Haspengouwse Dubbel. Dark brown with offwhite head. Sweet malts, light roasted, caramel, toffee, dates, figs, raisans, light spices, gale, sage. Big sweet and moderate bitter. Over medium body and soft carbonation. Quite okay.

Deep mahogany brown colour with a ruby hue, small frothy tan head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, dried dark fruits, brown sugar, gruut, resinous, fortified wine, bit woody. Taste is light heavy sweet and medium bitter, short to average duration, malty, bit fruity, herbal, resinous sweetbitter finish. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, not your ordinary Dubbel, nice.
