Bottle. So lively it pushed the cork out by itself. Bit hazy golden. Bright green funk, oak, vanilla, sweet white wine, vanilla, wet cellar funk, grassy, soft oxidisation. Under medium sweet and sour, light bitter. Medium bodied. Tasty!
Bottle bought online, thnx for pointing me in the right direction, Chris!
Pours bit unclear, darker blonde, to lighter orange. Medium white head with medium low stability. Scent is funky, strong wood, nice lambic like funk, mils notes from the sherry, but not as oxidative as I had hoped. Taste is really refined, tart, sharp, lemon tartness, fairly dry, sherry is very mild. Bit to sharp, not as refined, complex as the best batches of zenne. A nice enough, very enjoyable geuze though !
Bottle at tasting. Aroma of funk, horseblanket, brett, dry red fruit, some citrus, green apple and wheat. Taste has funky barnyard, horseblanket, brett, citrus, green apple, dry red fruit, wheat, orange and oak. Delicate and rich beer, very elegant.
Here we go... My #5000 Dutch beer rating! Thought I’d make it a Toon as I’m sure this one won’t be shabby 🍻 Visually it’s a nice clear amber with a short lived off white head. Aroma shows off a lovely cellar funk upfront, reminiscent of 3 Fonteinen, oxidation in a great way, cobwebs, oak and dusty notes with citrus jumping out and freshening things up. Flavour is moderate sour with a little balancing sweetness and also some bitterness. Medium bodied with light moderate carbonation. This doesn’t disappoint. Thank you Toon for a lovely 5k tick. It’s like Dutch Zenne!
Corked bottle. Deep golden color. Citrus and hints of oak and sherry in the aroma and flavor. Almost soapy. A light sourness, vinous.
Hapu, mõrkjas, marjane, kuiv, tammine, nats happline. Ok. 3.6
