Brownish black, minimal light brown head. Smells roasty, dark chocolate. Nice thickness, but drinks quite heavily. Tastes bitter, super dark chocolate. Get some of the wood, but not as rich as some other examples. Not bad, mostly very chocolaty.

33cl Blik van Hopt.nl. Zwart, beige kraag. Aroma is zoet, kruidig, beetje als cederhout, kaneel-achtig, melkchocolade, vanille. Smaak is behoorlijk zoet, iets metalig daardoor, maar toch ook behoorlijk bitter, gebrand, donkere chocolade en koffie, caramel, toffee, kaneel, cederhout, bitter-zoete finish. Volle body. Lekker.

Can. Black pour. Aroma of smooth chocolate, caramel, wood, licorice, soft smoke and malt. Taste has sweet creamy chocolate, earthy vanilla, caramel, licorice, malt, soft smoke and wooden flavors. Nice one, has dessert character, but it's still a stout and not molten ice cream.

Very dark brown with thin head. Aroma has obvious chocolate. Flavour too. Quite sugary. Super dry finish.

Pours nearly black, small tanned head dissapears fast. Scent is rich, chocolate malts, roasty, intense. Amburana is relatively mild, but noticable. gingerbread pops to mind. Taste is full, roasty, chocolate malts & cacao ( including it's bitterness ) . Amburana wood really takes the uperhand towards, during, and finalizing the aftertaste. Bit spicy as well (due to the wood) . OK . medium body and carbo.

330ml can Sophies Beer Store. Black appearance, thick tan head. Curious spiced woody notes mingle with a rich chocolate base. Echoes of banana foam sweets. Interesting.

0.33 l can from 'Ace Drinks', best before November 2025. Black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty and a little spicy aroma of dark chocolate, hazelnut, some vanilla and coffee. Rather sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, toasted nuts and some vanilla, followed by a long, rather roasty-bitter, quite earthy finish. Full body, smooth and almost creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Impressive Stout, very well-balanced and far from being too sweet. Not sure what amburana is supposed to taste like, but I guess it fits well in here. Good!
