1, 2 and 3 year old lambic with red vineyard peaches and cloves. Every year we go harvesting vineyard peaches with Christoph in the Mosel wine region. While we’re working in the orchards, Christoph’s sister is making jam and preserved peaches. In the jars of peaches she’s preserving for the winter, a few cloves are added to the jars that will be served during the Christmas dinner. This winter blend Pjassel Nejgelkes is a great pairing with your Christmas dinner or to enjoy with friends around the bonfire. Merry Christmas!

0,75l from bottle at Gebrande Winning. Vintage 19. Bordeaux hazy color, small white head. Smells peaches, spices, cloves, very nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes of peaches, cloves, Christmas spices, grassy, earthy, light tannins. Finishes lightly dry and light to medium sour with notes of peaches, cloves and Christmas spices. I love the peaches, the spices are lovely after some breathing, just lovely beer

Bottle at Lagerhuys. Clear deep red with big and lasti g pink head. Yes there's cloves up front, some wheat, dry peaches, soft funk, cinnamon, light earthy. Over medium sour, light sweet and some spicy bitterness. Medium bodied with sparkly carbonation. Really nice, cloves are not overpowering.

23/V/21 - 75cl bottle, 2019 vintage @ De Gebrande Winning (St. Truiden), BB: n/a (2021-423) Thanks to ElManana for sharing today’s beers!

Little cloudy deep ruby red to little reddish brown beer, small creamy off-white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lovely, super fruity, all sweet and sour cherries, cherry pits, hint of raspberries, some marzipan, cloves are rather hidden, but become more pronounced as the beer warms up. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: quite some cloves up front here, pretty acidic, lots of cherries, fruity, lovely stuff! Aftertaste: quite some cloves still, maybe a little too much, very juicy, lots of sour cherries, very nice and original combination, though I would tone down the cloves a bit. But that’s nitpicking.

Enjoyed on Christmas Day after most of the dinner prep is done. The turkey’s resting, the gravy is slowly simmering and the kermis is having a nice sit down. So here we go!

It pours a nice deep and slightly hazy purplish red, with a lively but very short lived pink head. The cloves jump out on the nose but in a balanced way with the rich tart and fresh red peaches and cherry notes. Soft oak notes and a light funk behind. Flavour is fairly sour, with a light moderate sweetness. Really fruity and juicy. Medium bodied with moderate, prickly carbonation. A lovely blend that does feel like Christmas!
