Rather strange aroma. Butter, caramel, caje dough and flowers. Hoppy, flowery flavor. Sweet with caramel, mustard, butterscotch and a hint of raspberry. Alcohol present. Rather ugly looking, but likeable beer with some complexity.
Old notes (late 80s/early 90s). Golden color, hazy. Firm head with good retention. Aroma’s: candy sugar, fruity, some spices. Light to moderate sweet flavor. Fairly strong alcohol feel. Medium bodied. Lingering finish with spices.
Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes orangegoldenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, malzig süß, fruchtig, leicht alkoholisch. Geschmack hefig, malzig süß, fruchtig, Gewürze.
33cl bottle from ABCBeers. Thin white head. Cloudy golden blond pour. Fruity aftertaste. Nice triple.
Aroma is a bit soapy with some orange and apricot too. Low to medium carbonation. Strange sweet, citus flavour. Pink grapefruit, peach, apricot. A bit perfumey.
Cloudy golden colored beer, off-white head. Smell coriander, don’t like it. Taste also not very much to my liking, with again coriander coming through. Carbo and body are ok.
On tap at ’t Arendsnest. Hazy golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of buttery malt, yeast, sweet fruits. Flavour is sweet, fruity, yeasty, light spicy bittersweet finish. Light bodied, watery texture.
Bottled (from Cracked Kettle). Hazy orange colour, mediumsized beige foamy head. Aroma is very fruity, yeasty, caramelly and a bit nutty and wooden notes also. A bit parfumelike when it gets warmer. Flavour is spicy, grassy, herbal, eathy and yeasty along with some slight wooden notes coming in in the finish and aftertaste. Rather different in flavour from the aroma. Still very nice and drinkable.
Bottle 33cl. @ home.Light light unclear light to medium amber orange color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, light to moderate hoppy, grass, orange, anisseed notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081117]
Bottle: Poured a orange amber with a thin white head. Aroma is strong with malt, sugar, and light spice. Taste is sugary for a tripel, not as much fruit and more caramel/toffee malt. Finish is dry and hoppy. Very taste brew!
