Tap @ De Drie Ringen. Hazy light golden colour, white head. Nose is light malted, yeasty, a bit grainy. Flavour is light malted, grassy, slightly caramel.
33cl bottle. Thin white head. Hazy blond pour. Ok, not very exciting. .
Bottled. Slightly hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is mild earthcellar, some saltwatery notes as well as some mild floral notes. Flavour is fruity and floral with some mild earthy and bready malty notes.
On tap at ’t Arendsnest. Hazy yellow colour, white head. Thick aroma of unmalted barley and oatmeal, grass and a bit of hops. Flavour is malty, light sweet, light hoppy, some yeast, slightly bitter finish. Less than medium bodied. Nice substitute for a pilsner.
Draught @ De Drie Ringen, Kleine Spui 18, Amersfoort, Netherlands Unclear medium grey yellow orange color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruty, moderate yeasty, soap notes, green apple notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20081026]
Clear yellow color, short white head. Aroma of hops, some grain, overall quite typical aroma for a kolsch, only bit more grainy. Bitter taste, not as watery as some other kolsch. Decent beer.
