Shared from bottle at Maakun. Black with light tan head. Sweet roasted malts, ashy roast, fruity and light piney hops, some dark and red fruit, licorice and laurel. Quite sweet and moderate bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. --- Beer merged from original tick of Eloy on 21 Feb 2019 at 21:49 - Score:

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Almost black with fizzy dark beige head. Roast, soft citrus, light berries, cherries, ash, dank weedy hops, light red currants, sweet chocolate malts. Medium sweet and bitter and light sour. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Quite nice, except for the cola-like carbonation.

Black beer, small head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hops, some old musty sweaty aroma. Taste is the same some chocolate and roasted malt. Ok

Sampled from tap at the brewpub. Black with a thin, dense, stable, beige head. Faint, sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and a bit fruity aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, some hazelnut and a touch of dark fruits. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and a little fruity taste of milk chocolate, dried fruits, cocoa powder and some hazelnut, followed by a short, minimally bitter, slightly roasty finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice, not really a Black IPA though.
