Can shared by Caesar. Clear red color, exactly as a barleywine should be. Off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, sweet sticky barley wine, brown candy sugar. Medium to full body, suitable soft carbonation. Lovely beer.
Can. Dark Brown color. Caramel And a hint of roast in the aroma. Caramel, Milk chocolate And some dried fruit in the sweet flavor. Slightly alcoholic. Fairly Simple brew.
Lata de. @Zombier, Online . 26/05/2019 Color ambarino corona de espuma blanca escasa, aromas caramelo, maltosa, sabor maltosa, caramelo cuerpo denso.
Zoet, caramel, moutig. Beetje ijzer/roest in de smaak.
Sweet and barleymaltish. But only a little. Very thin, boring and disappointing. Kees can make awesome barleywines, but he seemed to forget that this time.
Eenvoudig. Stevig. Hard op de mout
0.44 l can from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', best before June 2019. Clear, ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish, gently fruity aroma of molasses, citrus and some raisins. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, malty, quite fruity taste of raisins, citrus, caramel, some molasses and a touch of tobacco, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, a little resiny and slightly warming finish. Medium to full body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Solid Barley Wine with a hoppy and fruity touch. A bit bland actually, not really what you would expect from an anniversary beer from Kees.
Can shared at THT February. Hazy amber brown with an off white head. Aroma of malt, butterscotch, light herbs, malt and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
Can at THT. Murky amber with white head. Sweet malts, toast, light caramel, somewhat vegetal. Quite sweet and moderate bitter. Full body, buttery soft feel. Soft carbonation.
