This is our house pilsner, Tappy Pils, which we have conditioned in an oak barrel for 4 months, and added a single strain of Brettanomyces, a yeast which creates aromas and flavours of pineapple, citrus fruits, and some more rustic flavours of hay or straw. This beer has picked up a lot of character from the oak, with notes of vanilla and reminiscent of chardonnay.

Tasting note: A delicate beer with no acidity. Light, bright citrus and vanilla, with underlying notes of oak and hay. Dry finish.

375ml bottle. Very pale yellow with a light haze, white head. Aroma of citrus and hay, a little funk. Taste is very citrusy, lemon, hay, oak and white wine notes. Light and refreshing, supremely drinkable Pilsner. This will be even better on a hot summer's day.
