Thnx to Kevin ! Pours black, small white head. Smell is fairly spirit forward, but not boozy. Rather Rum like, hiding the bourbon. Mild chocolate. Taste is full, bit bitter, noticable alcohol, but again, and I can't stress this enough, it's not boozy. Mostly (aged, brown) rum, way less bourbon. Fine carbonation. Medium fullbodied. Not bad. Chocolate (milkchocolate) finish. With a production price (!) of about 27 € a half liter bottle, this must be one of the most expensive beers ever made ! It might also be one of the most rare ones ( only for the investers, 1 x 15 liter barrel made ) So i feel extremely lucky to have been able to have tried this. Than again, I don't think it's worth the value it currently has. Production prices will drop as soon as it's proven that the BourbRum (and barrels) can be re-used. Kevin is also working strongly on his beers, I have no doubt shit will skyrock in the years to come. So yeah, its pretty honorable to have been able to taste the first step on his road.
