750ml bottle. Golden colour, off-white foam head and aroma of yeast, spicy, citric rind, candy hint. Taste is sweetish, pale malt, wheat, and yeasty, fruity, citric, spicy, funk, with some bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying light bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.
Musty barnyard, biscuit malt, and dry hay aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with nice off-white head. Minimally sweet citrus, biscuit malt, lightly sour funky Brett, and moderately bitter hay flavor. Good body.
EB from this weekend. Citrusy and spicy. Really good!
Bottle from Geers. Hazy golden colour, white foam. Yeasty, dry and peppery, some citrus notes. Nice and refreshing.
Bottle - pours hazy blonde with white head - nose/taste of sourdough bread, spicy yeast, lemon pith - medium bodied
Bottle, bb 2022. Clear gold with a huge white head that fades only a bit and laces well. Intense citrus and citrus blossom aroma - lemons, bitter oranges - syllabub, light honeyed dough, some spices. Just medium bodied, carbonation is moderate. At first it's just a big bitter blast of citrus, but some luscious and smooth pale malt and some stone fruit emerge after a time and there's a hint of wood at the end. Not all that complicated and with none of the mystery you often get with Fantôme, but very good.
Bottle. Color: Hazy orange golden, frothy white head. Aroma: Fruity, herbal, orange peel, yeast. Taste: Yeast, herbal notes, hints of yellow fruit, pear, peach, bittery orange and lemon peels, malt. A bit grassy. Medium to above medium bitterness, medium sweet. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Very fruity bittery palate. Over medium body, slightly below average carbonation. Very complex, a lot of different flavours going through your mouth. Not everybody's friend, I think and I really had to make up my mind for a rating, but in some way I like it.
Golden color. Very dry pears, apples, and Belgian yeast. Very yeasty, very very yeasty with pears alcohol well hidden. Smooth body. Big dry pear finish. Interesting
