330ml can from Battle of Bull, Cheras, Malaysia. Poured a murky yellow straw colour with a short-lived bubbly white head. The aroma is grainy malt, zesty tropical citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a smooth, dry, rich, juicy citrus, mango, tart grapefruit, light dry pepper spice, hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. I really don’t believe these fruit flavours came from Simcoe alone and the Omnipollo fruit buyer has surely been busy again. On this occasion though, it worked. A very tasty beer.
0.33 l can shared with little Dina. Murky yellow to golden, small off-white head. Moderately hoppy, fruity aroma, grapefruit and strawberry, zest, pine needles, vanilla, malts and oat. There is a hint of onion or vegetable, not unpleasant. Green hops in the flavor, bitter herbs, hop oils. Smooths out to a citrusy, fruity flavour. Bitterness rests on the palate. Flat, thin, bitterness too soft, smooth, light finish.
