Orange-copper beer with a very fine rim/surface film. Earthy, woody, hint at ureum, mould. Soft sweet, finishing more acidic. Lemony, the sherry barreling is not obvious. Sharp, faint background sweetness, almost no carbonation. Severe brew, sharp as the younger 3F Z&F batches.
At Wild Festival Groningen, 10cl from bottle. Color: Orange amber. Taste: Moderate sour, a bit tart, fruity notes of berries and grapes. Moderate bitterness. Subtle Sherry. Very nice balance in between sweet, sour and bitterness. Good.
Hazy golden with thin white head. Sour grains, grapes, sulphury, rusty, apricot. Sour grains, lots of barrel. Moderate sweet and bitter, mild sour. Medium body and soft carbonation.
Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of dry cellar funk, oak, mineral, cobwebs and citrus. Flavour is moderate sour. Medium bodied with light carbonation.
Sampled at Wild Festival Groningen. Hazy darker golden with white head. Nice funk, dry woody sherry with light oxidized notes, vanilla, raisins, walnuts. Medium sour, very light sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with sparkly carbonation. Great!
Apparently a 2016 bottle slipped through, I'm not complaining. Lovely gueuze blend in an Oloroso barrel. Some sweetness from the sherry, lots of old oak and a bit of grapeyness. Gueuze is nicely dry and sour, plenty of goat.
