750ml wired cork bottle from drinksupermarket.com. Sparkling, golden colour, short-lived fizzy white bubbly head and aroma of apple, bready yeast, caramel hints. Taste is tart, fleshy apple, some skin and core, yeasty bready, with citric acidity. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry tart acidic finish. Nicely drinkable.
Acid cider seems to be an official category, and it is represented by a cider expert to me as a style well displayed by this one. The cider pours a very light, perfectly clear, yellowish wattery look. Scent is dry, harsh apples, rather mild in intensity. Taste is acidic indeed, but that's not the main focus of this drink. it shows a beautifull apple aroma, and a dryness which, in combo with the high, yet small-bubbled carbonation, reminds one of champagne. Very nice crossover between sparkling wine and cider, with a palate that could be loved by geuze drinkers.
Bottle sampled at Cider festival. Slight hazy pale straw with no real head. Dry apple, champagne, light earthy and mineral, dry white grapes and green apples. Light bitter and sour. Solid medium bodied, over medium dry with light alcohol.
Süffiger, trocken apfeliger Beginn. Weiche Herbe, spritzig, langer, frisch fruchtiger Abgang. 10/9/10/9//9
Sampled @ Cider World Frankfurt 2019. A clear pale yellow golden colour. Aroma of riped moderate sourish apples. Taste of mild sourish apples, sulfur.
37,5cl bottle from Riga Airport. Pours clear pale straw coloured without any head to speak of. Aroma of ripe apples with solid acidity and a dry finish. Refreshing stuff.
Bottle at home from SB. Pale yellow with a white hue. Green apples and some vinous green grapes. Like a dry, white wine. A bit faded apple. Decent.
