Beneath the bright lights and wealth of the Metropolis dwells a very different world. This dark beer takes everything pure in Metropolis and corrupts it. A giant malt bill renders a thick and viscous fluid into which hops by the bargeful were laid to rest. The result is a colossal experience where an impressive mouthfeel meets bittered chocolate and a raging tropical hop explosion. The Necropolis demands your respect.

23/X/17 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: VIII/17 (2017-1821) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Pretty clear brown beer, small creamy beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, caramel, some dried fruits, some candy, chocolate touch. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet malts up front, pretty roasted, soft bitterness, some caramel. Aftertaste: bitter hops, sweet malts, coffee, more roasted notes, chocolate, hint of citrus. Decent porter, but not really a black ipa. Probably because we drank it past it's date though...

330ml bottle. Pours black-brown in colour with a beige foam head leaving lacing. Aroma of dank citrus hop, tobacco. Taste is roasted malty, sweet, molasses, caramel, some dark chocolate, with zesty spicy orangey citrus and pine hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, hoppy roast tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable Black IPA.
