Pours a bit oily to almost clear amber-cognac coloured beer. Bit vinous, but also an aroma as from buttermilk, sourish-lactic. Caramel, fusels, autumn leaves, liqueurish. Sour, soured milk, caramel - if without the sweetness; and something... chemical... spoiled...? Difficult to pinpoint. Bit oily feel, not very carbonated; alcoholwarming. A difficult one, this. Not dissimilar to certain Weizenbocks - and I'm indeed not a huge fan of those either. Txs to Stef!
Bottle at home. Dark amber color, huge sized fizzy white to off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, slight tart notes, some sharp unripe fruit peel notes. Hmm no, not a fan.
Pours hazy, very dark amber. Very small, creamy head. Scent is Mild. Some wheat, creamy, but not intense at all. Taste is medium full to full. First of, creamy wheat base. Noticable alcohol. Medium thick to thick body, low ( almost no ) carbo. Very creamy. Mild bitterness. due to the body and noticable alcohol, the perception is that of a higher ABV. On the other hand, since the falvors are subtile, it's too high ABV as it really is, to really make it 'worth it' to me. Perhaps this would be just great as a foodpairing beer, but as a sipping ale, it's just a bit to simple and mild .
