Pour @ MBCC 2019. Pours clear golden with a white head. Notes of citrus, sweet vinous grapey thing going on, lots of ripe fruits, stone fruit, lightly funky. One of my favorites from this years blends for sure!
Bottle 750ml. @ MBCC '19 [ Red Session ]. - Mikkeller Beer Copenhagen Celebration 2019, Øksnehallen, Halmtorvet 11, 1700 København V, Danmark.[ As Bokkereyder Pinot Cognac - 2016 ].Unclear - hazy matt medium orange colour with a small average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat, horse blanket, barnyard, leather, cheese, cognac, grapes, grapes skin. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light sour with a long duration, funk, brett - leather, sweet cognac, grapes - grape skin, tart fruit - lemon. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Wow .. that is good ! [20190511] 9-3-9-5-18
2016 bottle @MBCC2019, Red Session. Hazy orange brown, white head. Aroma has wood, hhapes, barnyard. Sour flavour, funk, horse. Bitter, tart.
2016 bottle. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is horseblanket, white wine, musty, dank basement, super complex earthy stuff. Taste is subtle cognac, musty, very complex grape stuff, leather, light mushrooms. Chalky-ish mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Amazing stuff.
0,75l from bottle at Gebrande Winning event. Orange hazy color, small white head. Smells of cognac, spices, nutty, peppery, earthy. Very nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes of spices, cognac, spices, peppery, grassy, herbal, some grapes. Finishes dry and light to medium sour with notes of grape, cognac and some spicey notes. Very very nice one. 8, 4, 9, 4, 18
