One juice was pressed, then split into 5, & fermented by 5 different cider makers; hence one juice has created 5 ciders. It's a fascinating study in terroir, being all of the same origin, but allowing each makers approach to shape the fermentation & the cider that results! How are they similar, how are they different? Taste for yourself how much things vary!!…

750ml bottle from Fine Cider Co. Hazy orange gold colour, white foam head that dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of phenolic islay cask, smokey, whisky, meaty, with apple, funk hints. Taste is fruity, juicy apple, then peaty wood barrel, islay whisky, some light funk and drying oaky tannins. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry woody tannic finish. Very drinkable .

Sample thanks to sjogro. Bit hazy orange golden. Dry apple peel, light boozy, dry woody notes, mineral and earthy. Light farmhouse funk underneath. Light bitter. Medium bodied, very dry. Mostly funky and mineral, light fruity. Nice.

Hazy golden, no real head. Dry apple. Yellow bell pepper (paprika), green asparagus, hard to pin earthy vegetal notes. Superdry finish. Postman’s rubberbands. Juicy, floral, dry. Oliver’s is art. Not always Top of the pops, but always complex. Awesome. 💛
