--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Black, no head. Huge aroma of maple syrup and pecan. Very sweet with full body and rounded, sticky mouthfeel. Milk chocolate, caramel, maple syrup and pecan. Sweet and sticky, but with finesse.
23/V/21 - 1Pt.6Fl. Oz. (66cl) bottle @ De Gebrande Winning (St. Truiden), BB: n/a (2021-425) Thanks to ElManana for sharing today’s beers!
Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, falls down quickly. Aroma: lovely stuff, lots of dark chocolate, vanilla notes, some maple syrup, lots of dark caramel, some coffee, caramelised pecan nuts, slightly oxidized, very nice! MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, lots of dark chocolate, caramel, pecans, some vanilla, lots of alcohol, bit sugary. Aftertaste: good roast, lots of dark chocolate, some alcohol, nice sweet/bitter balance, yummy!
Dark brown pour with a fluffy tan head. Huge maple notes up-front, followed by toffee, caramel chocolate, more toffee, cherries, sugar, more sweet stuff. Quite good, but very sweet and one-dimensional.
