EB from last Friday.
Can from Struise Shop. Cloudy black, stable, frothy, beige head. Intense aroma of espresso, vanilla bean, almond, blue plum, raisin, chestnut, toast, vague aniseed, teriyaki, whisky. Taste has restrainedly sweet prune, raisin & dried fig, going over a thick roasted malty body with notes of toast, toasted nuts & coffee bean - the latter lending a sourish bean effect too; undercurrent of earthy-umami teriyaki. Heavily roasted finish containing bitter herbal hops, dry liquorice root, cold espresso & coffee dregs almost, but a gentle hint of vanilla too, until the whisky-like alcohol kicks in with a late heating effect. Full body, oily texture, average carbonation. A discovery in itself, the main focus of this brew is coffee which is executed thoroughly, with enough room to find out other complexities. Great.

Jet black with a rich light brown head. Dark espresso and chocolate. Espresso, chocolate and vanilla in the finish. Solid.
Pours pitch black and a firm brown head that doesn't last long. Aroma's of vanilla mostly. Retronasal it's vanilla, sweet, coffee, dark chocolate. Flavour is (above) moderate sweet, sweet coffee, chocolate. Strong alcohol feel, a bit sharp. Medium bodied. Long finish, roasty bitterish. I like it.
Can 473ml (Piwne Mosty)
Opaque colour, medium-sized brownish head. Sweetish roasted latte aroma with hints of vanilla. Full-bodied. Flavour has espresso and cocoa, dark chocolate, some bitterness, vanilla and touch of alcohol. Complex, robust, well-brewed.
Can. Black with a fat coat of tan head. Aroma of vanilla, cream, blackberries, mocha. Not very roasty at all. But it's there upon a sip and then it's rather like a blend of Péché Mortel and Aphrodisiaque - but (/so?) it lacks the dry intensity of the former's finish and the lush plumpness of the latter. It's good but there's too much departure from normal Speedway for me, one the of the charms of which is that it stays on the main drag.
Black with a small beige head. Aroma is massive licorice above anything else with cola. Plasters and vegetal coffee. Sadly a bad take on a great base beer. Light full bodied with soft carbonation.
