27/XI/21 - 44cl can from Willems (Grobbendonk), shared @ home, BB: 2/V/22, canned: 2/V/21, batch ?04 (2021-1512)
Cloudy blond beige beer, huge creamy yellowish dense head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lovely, lots of citrus, some grapefruit, mango, sweet impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, little bitter, tropical fruits, juicy, citrus, lots of alcohol, good stuff. Aftertaste: sweet, tropical fruits, citrus notes, alcohol burn, some grapefruit, papaya, bit yeasty, hint of bitterness, banana peel.
CD 03/05/2021. Hazy yellow, fluffy white head. Smells slightly oniony dank, lots of tropical fruit. Decent body, light carbonation, soft. Not very intense tasting, probably also age issue here. Good dose of fruit remains, passion fruit, light citrus.
Hazy golden pour with a tall white head that gives way to a velvety white lacing. Mango, sweet grapefruit, overripe tropical fruit, canned fruit, lychee, elderberries, some dank weed. Sweet and fruity, pretty tasty.
44cl Blik van De Laat. Troebelgele kleur, witte kraag. Zoet, zacht, veel geel en tropisch fruit, citrus, licht bitter. Romig mondgevoel, glad. Lekker, veel beter dan de veel te zoete Teardrop Mallet.
Fairly hazy golden with a big white head. Aroma of dank hops, tropical fruits, melon, lychee and starfruit. Flavour is above moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Nice stuff, if the sweetness could be toned down a little it would be world class!
