Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Candy Bar Stout • 14.29% ABV • We gave our Snickers-inspired "Study Break" sweet stout base a year-long sabbatical in Bourbon Barrels, then finished it with Ecuadorian cacao nibs and peanuts for a craveable stout that walks the grocery-aisle between sweet and savory. Sweet milk chocolate makes way for a nougatty mid-palate bounce of viscosity, while peanuts take the lead as the liquid warms to a savory, oaked finish. • Contains lactose.

Bottle shared at tasting. Opaque black color, virtually no head. Aroma is...well...peanut, and ehm, Snickers? Bizar. Also soy sauce and vegetable-ish. Flavor is also liquid snickers. I love snickers. But I dislike it in a beer. Not good.

Pretty hot, nose has a ton of peanut but on the palate is a bit astringent and kind of muddled

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a dark brown with small tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong roast, dark chocolate, wood, bourbon, peanut shells. Slick body, peanut shells, roasted malt, cocoa, bourbon, wood, very good.
