Sampled in between Ratebeer and Brewver, so not much specific notes. Decent weizenbock
0.44 l can from 'Bierhandwerk', best before August 2019. Hazy, brownish amber with a very thin, beige head. Sweetish, malty, gently yeasty-spicy and minimally fruity aroma of overripe banana, caramel, nuts, some clove and a touch of raisins. Quite sweet, malty, slightly bitter, gently yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity taste of caramel, overripe banana, clove, nuts and some raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, gently yeasty-spicy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Pleasant Weizenbock, glad to see this brewery not only making NEIPA's. Unfortunately not as complex as it could be.
Can at the Riga Pours 2019. Pours amber. Aroma and flavor are sweet, banana, sour, fruits, wheat. Overall: ok.
440mml. can. Tasted on the 15/03/2019 at O Bandullo. Brown to amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is banana, caramel, honey and toffee. Taste is toffee, banana and burnt caramel. Some dried fruits and nuts on the finish. Soft bitter. Next one please!
Lecker. 7/10/11/12/11/12
Can, courtesy of Sinh4. Pours unclear amber. Body is Bratapfel, banana, bock. Body is heavy, strong, and banana. Lovely carbonation. Good Doppelweizenbock. A bit obscene in banana.
44cl can. A hazy deep orange golden beer with a mid-sized good lasting beige head. Aroma of riped fruits, riped banana, caramel, clove and yeast. Taste of moderate sweet strong wheat malt, sweet riped banana, some clove.
05-12-18 // can from Getränke Stmupf. Unclear a bit murkish brown copper. White to beige head. Mild roast malt nose. A really classic Weizenbock. Very smooth. Yeasty, minimal ripe banana. Roasted darker malts. Very mild noble hop bitterness. Classic and very solid but I prefer Weizenböcke with a brighter colour so less roasted and darker malts. Still a great one from Frau Gruber after several really good hazy juicy IPAs.
Tap tap house. Dark brown clouds, golden cream. Good banana, rye bread and spice aroma. Medium creamy body, cake cream on the palate, vanilla and banana fudge, Christmas spices, full flavored without getting sticky and cloying, dangerously drinkable, good!
