Bottle shared. Opaque black color. Smell and taste malts, some cocos, sweetish, odd. Not nice don't like it. Bounty or something.
Fast gone tan-cream head over virually black beer with a purple sheen. Cocos, vanilla, perfumey, sweet roast, Bourbon, oak. A faint, nearly fresh flavour as from mint. Not as sweet as the nose suggested, if sweet enough. Powerful alcohol, yet pretty hidden - iron fist in silken glove. Very faint stoutacidity and a hint at phenols. Boozy in a sophisticated way, feels somehow well-carbonated. Sophisticated - undoubtedly, but is the result worth all the trouble, le ramage vaut-il le plumage? And while we're at French, what's the accent grave doing there?
Smaakt naar whisky en cognac met een dikke laag stout en quadrupel eronder. Laagje kokosnoot ook. Zeker niet te zoet. Doen ze goed.
Interesting. Black, bit of tan head. Heavy peaty smell. Definitely heavy, some boozyness, not that thick. Taste is a huge amount of ashy smokyness, with buckets of coconut, which I guess would come from the bourbon? Very wet barrels then.
