Can from somewhere. Cloudy black, huge, frothy, dark beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, chocolate sauce, vanilla pudding, cappuccino, brownie, rye bread, coco cream, flavoured jenever. Taste has very sweet milk chocolate, brownie & dark fudge with a hint of maple syrup; slightly toasty & oaty too; vague herbal accent. Peppery hoppy finish, ongoing chocolate, coco cream & vanilla and a soft coffee bitterness. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Not overly sweet and well structured.
Can 44cl. Present from Joost, thanks pal @home poured into a glass tankard. Sweet roast nose. Pitch black, fair creamy tan head, good retention, light lacing. Aroma roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, coconut, vanilla, coconut. Smooth taste heavy sweet and light bitter, malty, roast, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, coconut, moderate alcohol. Full-bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation, lingering sweetbitter aftertaste, well-balanced, well-made, bit too sweet and alcohol presence makes it a real sipper, very good.
Near black with a beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, vanilla, coffee and roast. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
Can at Ambasada, huge thanks Iznogud for sharing with Hrabren, Kermis and me! Daaark brown black body with a brownish head. Coconut, vanilla and chocolate, all nice and soft, create a very, very pleasant aroma, that doesn't give out alcohol that much. The taste has a fantastic flavoring profile - chocolate, coconut and light vanilla create something that may well come from Ferrero or something, and it's not all sweetness, no. Roast, light nutty notes, light alcohol. The body is soft but full, heavily creamy. A highly impressive pastry stout!
0.5 l can shared with Kermis, Iznogud and Marko at Ambasada. Zagreb. Dark brown, small beige head. Nutty, milk chocolate, candy, dark malts, vanilla. Very smooth, coffee, chocolate, good sweetness balance, silky, roasty, molasses. Finish a bit too sweet, after all.
Taster, I had better Moersleutel anniversary pastry stouts.
Dark pour with a small tan head. Roasted malt, coffee, smoke, ash, vanilla, roasted coffee beans. Decent, but leaning a bit too much towards the roasty side.
Op tap bij Scrapyard. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Erg zoet, rum-rozijntjes, ahornsiroop duidelijk aanwezig, hint van kokos, zoete koffie, wat chocolade, weinig echt gebrande smaken, bitterzoete finish. Volle body. Zeer genietbaar in kleine hoeveelheden, 44cl zou echt veel teveel zijn.
Black with thin tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, coffee, coconut, cardemom, cinnamon, maple. Big roasted grain stack. Heavy body, tasty and smooth. Powerful stuff.
