Dark pour, visibly thick, viscous, with no head. Huge bourbon notes, followed by vanilla, dark cherries, oak, dried fruit, toffee, Pedro Ximenez, dates. Thick and a bit cloying, but otherwise very well rounded. Smooth texture, very low carbonation, a delicious barleywine. While the other beers in the series were adjunct-forward stouts (and very well-made ones), this is a straightforward BA barleywine, masterfully made.
