375ml bottle via trade, thanks Arturo, Vintage 2018 clocking at 11.1% - reckon other years have abv fluctuation.
Ambre voire cuivre, col fin beige.
Arôme au nez ressemblant un peu à un barley wine côté ouest US, rétro marqué de rhum avec un bon bouquet un peu botanique - dont le gingembre est présent sans être surfait.
Palais allie, une fois de plus, le savoir-faire de Firestone en terme de programme de barrel aging, un rhum superbe qui restitué par mal d'effet de cane à sucre, le tout ponctué par une fine note épicée de gingembre et de citron vert qui tranche un peu avec le tout.
Le tout garde un côté sucre caramélisé qui sort bien avec le profile général de cette bière. Douce sur la fin.

Bottle. Pours amber brown. Aroma and flavor is basically a rum cocktail, rum, coconut, sweet, malt, lime, malt, booze. Overall: decent cocktail, but not a good beer.

Bottle [thanks Kevinreddirt] at home shared with Caesar. Amber to reddish color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, raisins, lime, ginger, balanced though, sweet, don't really get liquor. Maybe it's the sticky caramelish notes that come from the rum. Solid. 6-3-8-4-15

Gember is een interessante toevoeging op een barley wine. Rum ook aanwezig, maar niet overheersend. Best lekker

Draught @ MBCC'18 [ Yellow Session ]. - Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Øksnehallen, Halmtorvet 11, 1700 København V, Danmark. [ As Firestone Walker Dark & Stormy ]. ABV: 13.6%. Clear medium amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark malt, caramel, sweet malt, bread, light spiced. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, caramel, sweet malt, alcohol - sweet alcohol - rum, finish is light ginger bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20180511] 7-3-7-4-16

Draught @ Bridge View Tavern (11/19/18). Clear reddish brown with small frothy beige head, woodsy rum aroma, adequate carbonation, sweetish spicy rum taste with woodsy background, smooth body, long finish. Quite potent and a bit boozy.
